Linfield are investigating an incident during their Irish Premiership match against Loughgall at Windsor Park on Saturday in which a visiting player was allegedly racially abused. The alleged abuse came from the South Stand, where Linfield fans are housed.

What happened?

Linfield said they are treating the matter seriously. An internal investigation into the incident is underway, a club spokesperson told BBC Sport NI.

We do not tolerate racism and have never had racism at Linfield before, the spokesperson added. Linfield has a very good relationship with Loughgall and will be working with them to look into the incident.
