Linfield midfielder Megan Bell was named June's NIFWA Player of the Month. She scored a hat-trick in a 9-1 win over Crusaders Strikers and added a goal in the 8-1 victory over Lisburn Ladies.
A standout month for Bell
Megan Bell, 25, re-joined the Blues last season after spells at Durham, Hearts, Rangers and Nottingham Forest. Her performances have been pivotal as Linfield sit top of the Northern Ireland Premiership this campaign. Bell’s June form, highlighted by the two dominant wins, earned her the award from the Northern Ireland Football Writers' Association.

Bell said, "It means a lot. We had a good month as a team, and I was happy to contribute. We’ve had a good start, but it is still very early on in the season. We don’t want to get too carried away. We go into every game wanting to win, and we’ll see where it takes us at the end of the season." She added that she is "more like myself" after scoring her fourth international goal for Northern Ireland in a World Cup qualifying defeat against Turkey.

Linfield’s manager Ryan McConville praised Bell’s contribution, noting that her form will be a key factor in the Blues’ pursuit of the championship.
