Linfield Football Club is excited to announce the signing of defender Ryan Nolan on a two-year contract. The 27-year-old centre-back joins the club following the expiration of his contract with Larne. With a wealth of experience from various European leagues, Nolan is expected to enhance the quality and competition within David Healy's defensive lineup ahead of the new season at Windsor Park. Born in County Clare, Republic of Ireland, Nolan's football journey began in Spain before he was scouted by former Italian international Pierluigi Casiraghi, leading him to join the prestigious Inter Milan academy. After progressing through Inter's youth system, he embarked on his senior career in Italy with Arezzo. Nolan has since played in Italy, Spain, England, and Scotland, representing clubs such as Getafe, Northampton Town, Raith Rovers, and Hércules, where he notably contributed to their promotion to the Primera RFEF. After joining Larne in September 2024, he quickly became a vital part of their defense, making nearly 50 appearances and playing a significant role in both domestic and European competitions. At the international level, Nolan has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-16, Under-17, and Under-18 levels. Manager David Healy expressed his enthusiasm for the new signing, stating, 'Ryan is a player we’ve admired for some time. He brings excellent experience, leadership qualities, and a real presence at the back. We believe he will be a valuable addition to our group both on and off the pitch.' Everyone at Linfield FC warmly welcomes Ryan and his family to the club and wishes him every success during his time at Windsor Park.
